Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account, use our services, and interact with SkillRadar. This includes:
- Account information (name, email, profile picture from OAuth providers)
- Skill self-assessment ratings and radar data
- Goals, action plans, and progress notes
- Peer ratings you submit (stored anonymously)
- Usage data and analytics (via PostHog)
2. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the SkillRadar service
- Generate AI-powered skill development suggestions
- Aggregate anonymous team analytics (Team plan only)
- Send you service-related communications
3. Peer rating privacy
Peer ratings are confidential by design. Individual ratings are never exposed to any user, including managers and account administrators. Aggregate results are only shown when enough ratings have been submitted to protect anonymity (minimum 3 responses).
4. AI data handling
When you use AI-powered features, your skill data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions. AI request and response data is logged for quality assurance with a 30-day retention period, after which it is permanently deleted. AI providers do not use your data to train their models.
5. Data retention and deletion
You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed. Peer ratings you submitted are anonymised (not deleted) to preserve aggregate accuracy for other users.
Support mirroring
When you start a support conversation with SkillRadar, our AI support agent handles your request. To help us review support quality and allow human operators to step in when needed, support conversations may be mirrored to an internal Slack workspace for team review. This enables our team to:
- Observe live conversations and intervene when the AI needs help
- Inject additional context the AI is missing
- Review resolved conversations to improve support quality
Sub-processor. We use Slack Technologies, LLC (US), owned by Salesforce, Inc., as a sub-processor to host the mirrored conversations. See Slack's privacy policy: https://slack.com/trust/privacy/privacy-policy.
Data stored in Slack. When a support conversation is mirrored, the following data is written to Slack:
- Conversation content — your messages and the agent's replies
- Your identifiers — name, email address, and account tier
- Agent context — information the AI agent has gathered about your account, including preferences, notes from prior issues, and relevant account status (subscription, team membership, recent activity)
No peer rating data, private goal notes, or radar contents are sent to Slack unless you explicitly mention them in the conversation.
Retention. Mirrored conversations are retained in Slack for 90 days, then automatically deleted via our account-deletion pipeline. If you delete your SkillRadar account before 90 days have elapsed, the cascade runs immediately.
Your rights. When you delete your SkillRadar account, the deletion cascades to Slack: all mirrored messages and per-conversation context documents associated with your account are removed. You can also request deletion of specific mirrored conversations by contacting privacy@skillsradar.pro.

We use the following sub-processors to operate SkillRadar. Each processes the minimum data required for its purpose.
