1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, use our services, and interact with SkillRadar. This includes:

• Account information (name, email, profile picture from OAuth providers)
• Skill self-assessment ratings and radar data
• Goals, action plans, and progress notes
• Peer ratings you submit (stored anonymously)
• Usage data and analytics (via PostHog)

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the SkillRadar service
• Generate AI-powered skill development suggestions
• Aggregate anonymous team analytics (Team plan only)
• Send you service-related communications

3. Peer rating privacy

Peer ratings are confidential by design. Individual ratings are never exposed to any user, including managers and account administrators. Aggregate results are only shown when enough ratings have been submitted to protect anonymity (minimum 3 responses).

4. AI data handling

When you use AI-powered features, your skill data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions. AI request and response data is logged for quality assurance with a 30-day retention period, after which it is permanently deleted. AI providers do not use your data to train their models.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed. Peer ratings you submitted are anonymised (not deleted) to preserve aggregate accuracy for other users.

6. GDPR compliance

SkillRadar is fully GDPR compliant. You have the right to access, rectify, export, and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, use the tools in your account settings or contact us at privacy@skillradar.com.
